Sal Chowdhury is an experienced workplace investigator, building upon ten years as a qualified employment solicitor. In his legal practice, he both advised upon internal processes and conducted Employment Tribunal litigation for clients in a range of different sectors. He therefore has an acute appreciation for the importance of reaching evidence-based findings that are both well documented and clearly communicated to the relevant parties.
Since 2022, Sal has exchanged advising upon complex disciplinary and grievance processes with conducting them on a consultancy basis for clients. With particular emphasis on bullying and harassment complaints, he investigated serious misconduct, discrimination and whistleblowing and conducted a neutral evaluation. Throughout those processes, Sal has built strong rapport and trust with complainants, witnesses, union representatives and respondents alike, notably receiving praise from senior-level commissioning managers for his robust and detailed reports.
Several of Sal’s historic projects feature an international dimension; in addition to conducting investigations in the EMEA and APAC regions, he has undertaken investigations for a prominent intergovernmental military alliance and various agencies thereof, which has included conflict-zone considerations. He has also worked with NHS Trusts, charities and local authorities.
