Training boom – NHS Trusts and healthcare organisations

Healthcare organisations

Over the last few months, we have seen a real ‘boom’ in the number of training courses that we are providing to NHS trusts and other healthcare organisations.

Our clients tell us that our systematic incident investigation course is engaging, practical and equips staff with the tools needed to robustly investigate serious incidents. This is resulting in a large number of clients arranging repeat training courses on an ongoing basis.

We recently agreed a contract with Barts Health NHS Trust to deliver 2 systematic incident investigation training days per month until the end of the financial year.

Our head of training, Chris Brougham, has also been hard at work providing training across the country and promoting the various courses we can offer. She is currently scheduled to provide training every week for the rest of the year and beyond.

Building on the strength of our systematic incident training, Verita has developed some new programmes – these include topics such as the application of Duty of Candour and running diagnostics to ensure that trusts are learning from serious incidents.

This part of the business has never been busier and we wanted to express our thanks for all the organisations that have commissioned us and given us the opportunity to share our learning with your staff. If you would like to know more about our training offers, please contact Laura Conlon, our training administrator, on 020 7494 5670 or by email [email protected].
