Verita is experienced at delivering every aspect of an internal or external investigation, review or inquiry. This typically includes agreeing the terms of reference, collecting and safeguarding the evidence, appointing the investigative team, overseeing the investigative programme and quality assuring the findings and conclusions, resolving the legal issues, writing and publishing the report, and communicating the findings to the public.
Most clients ask us to carry out the entire process from start to finish, but some prefer to carry out some of the steps themselves. For example, some commission Verita to determine what sort of investigation is needed and then appoint their own chair and panellists, while others ask us to provide only the senior project management and administrative services that are needed to support the work.
