Dr Maureen Baker
Dr Maureen Baker is an experienced general practitioner with a special interest in postgraduate educational and workforce research, service development and clinical governance. She now works primarily in the field of patient safety, although she retains her clinical commitments. Between 1999 and 2009, Maureen was honorary secretary of the Royal College of General Practitioners where she led on emergency planning; workforce; and career support.Within the Royal College of General Practitioners she has championed issues relating to health inequalities and care of children, especially child protection.
